Who do you think should do it?

I have a coworker on my team who is prego. She is throwing hints of wanting a baby shower at work. Here is the problem this coworker is not the most liked or the nicest person on the team. She does not help others and does not often participate when we do group things. There is another coworker who is basically her best friend. They live two streets away and car pool together, hang out on the weekends together and even vacation at the same time. Problem is she is also very socially awkward and I really don’t think the thought of organizing a shower will occur to her. The general consensus on the team is if one is organized we will participate and bring gifts etc but we are not going to go out of our way to throw one.
