My Grandmother died and I have a question about inheritance?

I was not expecting to inherit anything, but then today I got an e-mail asking me for my information for her probate. Does that mean im getting an inheritance? Or do they get the whole families info even if they arnt getting anything? I just dont want to ask it seems in bad taste.
